Devotions and Litanies
About this day
Devotions are prayers of the faithful outside the liturgy itself, which the Church encourages when they are in harmony with the liturgy and lead toward it. Litanies are series of invocations with a repeated response, such as the Litany of the Saints and the Litany of Loreto.
