About this day
Brother André Bessette, of the Congregation of Holy Cross, served for some forty years as doorkeeper of a college in Montreal, commending the many sick who came to him to Saint Joseph. The chapel he had built grew into Saint Joseph's Oratory. He died in 1937 and was canonized in 2010.
