About this day
Anthony Zaccaria, a physician of Cremona, became a priest and founded the Clerics Regular of Saint Paul, called the Barnabites, along with a congregation of sisters. He promoted frequent Communion and the Forty Hours' adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, and died in 1539, aged thirty-six.
