Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels

About this day

Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael are the three angels named in Scripture: Michael defends God's people against evil, Gabriel announced the births of John the Baptist and of Christ, and Raphael guided Tobias. Since 1970 the three have shared this feast.
