About this day
Andrew Kim Taegon, the first Korean-born priest, was beheaded near Seoul in 1846; Paul Chong Hasang was a lay apostle martyred in 1839. They are honored with 101 companions, Koreans and French missionaries martyred between 1839 and 1867, canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1984.
