Friday of the Passion of the Lord (Good Friday)
Triduum · Red
About this day
On the day of the Lord's death the Church does not celebrate Mass. The Celebration of the Passion has three parts: the Liturgy of the Word, with Saint John's Passion and the Solemn Intercessions; the Adoration of the Cross; and Holy Communion, from hosts consecrated the evening before.
