The Most Precious Blood
About this day
A Votive Mass honoring the Precious Blood of Christ, shed for our redemption. Pope Pius IX made it a feast of the whole Church in 1849, later fixed on July 1; since 1969 it has been kept as a Votive Mass, especially in July.
