About this day
Fidelis of Sigmaringen practiced law in Swabia, where he was known as the poor man's lawyer, before joining the Capuchin friars. Sent by the Holy See to preach the Catholic faith in the Grisons in Switzerland, he was murdered at Seewis on April 24, 1622.
