About this day
Lent is the season of preparation for Easter, from Ash Wednesday until the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday. It prepares catechumens for Baptism, and the faithful, through penance and the recalling of their own Baptism, to celebrate the Paschal Mystery.
